AFAS extends sponsorship with AZ

AFAS has extended its sponsorship agreement with AZ for another five seasons until 2017. "We are enormously proud, said General Manager Toon Gerbrands at a press conference on Wednesday night. We are delighted that AFAS has extended the sponsorship for a further five seasons at a time when the economic environment is challenging and the football sponsorship market is in decline.
AFAS has been the main sponsor and the stadium sponsor of AZ since 2010. The former contract was due to expire in 2013. In addition to being AZ´s main shirt sponsor, AFAS will have the naming rights for the new training facilities as from 2013.
"AFAS Software is delighted to be extending our sponsorship of AZ with another five years, said Bas van der Veldt, CEO of AFAS Software. "The former three-year deal was too short a period to realise our objectives. The new deal will give both AZ and AFAS continuity. We are looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.
