ALKMAAR- AZ defeated BK Häcken in the second match in Göteborg. In the Bravida Arena the away team scored four times against Häcken and kept a clean sheet.

The first-leg ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw in the AFAS Stadium. Head Coach Arne Slot made his official debut for the Dutch side. After one hour playing, Yukinari Sugawara came on the pitch for Stijn Wuytens, and also made his debut for AZ. 


Second match
AZ headed to Sweden needing to score after the 0-0 draw. Myron Boadu gave AZ the lead after 42 minutes. But goals from Calvin Stengs and Ousamma Idrissi gave AZ a troughly deserved 3-0 win.


Next round
After the 3-0 win on exaggerate, AZ will meet FC Mariupol. AZ will play the first-leg in Odessa on Thursday 8 August, with a 19:00 (Dutch time) kick-off. The second match is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 15 August, with a 20:30 kick-off.
