AZ sign Johansson from Kalmar FF

ALKMAAR- AZ have completed the signing of Sweden U-21 international Mattias Johansson on a four year contract. The deal ties the 19-year-old to AZ until the summer of 2016. The right-back joins AZ with immediate effect from Kalmar FF, for whom he made his senior debut in 2009. Rasmus Elm made a move from the one-time champions in Sweden to Alkmaar before.
Johansson has been on AZ´s radar for a long time, but AZ did not reach an agreement with Kalmar FF last summer.
Career
Johansson played 41 league games for Kalmar FF, scoring one goal in the process. The defender played in the Europa League with the Swedish club and made appearances for Sweden U-19 and U-21 respectively.
