Holland joins Austria Vienna

ALKMAAR- James Holland (22) has joined Austria Vienna with immediate effect. The Australian midfielder has signed an 18-month contract with an option of a further two seasons with the Austrian club. Holland’s contract with AZ was due to expire in the summer of  2013.

Holland joined AZ from Australian club Newcastle Jets in January 2009, but did not succeed in making a first-team appearance. Holland, capped five times by his country, spent the second part of the 2010/11 season on loan with Sparta Rotterdam, scoring two goals in fourteen league games.
