Marcellis suffers broken metatarsal

ALKMAAR- AZ will be without Dirk Marcellis until the new year after the defender sustained a foot injury during AZ´s 1-0 win over Roda JC on Sunday. The right-back was taken to hospital where scans revealed he has suffered a fractured metatarsal in his left foot.

The 23-year-old, who has made eighteen appearances for AZ in competitive matches so far this season, will be out until the winter break.
