ALKMAAR- With Eredivisie action coming to a halt, twelve AZ players will be in action during the October international break. 

The Netherlands U21
With five AZ-players in the starting team (Calvin Stengs, Dani de Wit, Myron Boadu, Teun Koopmeiners en Owen Wijndal), the Netherlands U21 won against Norway U21: 0-4. Two goals were scored by AZ-players: Stengs made the 0-2 and De Wit headed in the 0-3.


Morocco
On Tuesday night, Oussama Idrissi came on the pitch after 86 minutes during the friendly game against Gabon. 
The final score was already decided: 2-3 for Morocco.

Greece
Pantelis Hatzidiakos started against Bosnia. The team of the Dutch coach John van 't Schip have won with 2-1.

Norway
Without Jonas Svensson and Fredrik Midtsjø, Norway tied against Romania. The UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiying match ended in 1-1. 

Philippines
A month after his debut, Justin Baas was again in the squad of the Philippines. The team played against China for the FIFA World Cup qualifications. Baas was forced to left the pitch after suffering an injury in the second half.

Japan U21
Japan U21 have won against Brazil U21 on Monday. The game ended in 2-3. Yukinari Sugawara have played seven minutes.


The Netherlands
Marco Bizot was left on the bench against Belarus. The Netherlands took another step towards the European Championships with a 2-1 victory in Minsk.


Norway
Fredrik Midtsjø and Jonas Svensson tied (1-1) with Norway against Spain. The AZ-players watched the game from the bench. 

Greece
Pantelis Hatzidiakos made his international debut against Italy. The defender played 90 minutes. The game ended in a 2-0 victory for Italy.


Morocco
Oussama Idrissi tied with Morocco against Libya. The friendly game ended in 1-1. Idrissi played 60 minutes.

The Netherlands U21
Myron Boadu, Calvin Stengs, Owen Wijndal, Dani de Wit en Teun Koopmeiners have won against Portugal U21 (4-2). Boadu made his debut and scored twice. The other goals were made by AZ-players Koopmeiners and Stengs.

Japan U21
On Thursday, Yukinari Sugawara played 45 minutes with Japan U21. The defender made his debut after the break. Japan won the game against Brazilian-side Sao Paulo with 0-3.
