Karlsson to Bologna

Karlsson (25) arrived in Alkmaar about three years ago. He joined from IF Elfsborg in his home country. The Swedish winger left an impression on both Dutch and international football fields. In three seasons, the Swedish international played 124 official matches. Additionally, he contributed with 33 assists and 46 goals.

Beautiful Goals
The agile winger not only scored splendid goals but also often made them at crucial times. His strike against S.S. Lazio in the eighth finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season proved to be invaluable. More than once, Karlsson won the Goal of the Month award.

Karlsson personally looks back on a fantastic period in Alkmaar. "I had three really good years at AZ. I want to thank everyone at the club for their help, support, and the wonderful time.
