Mees de Wit sidelined for a while

ALKMAAR- Mees de Wit will be out of action for some time. The wing-back underwent foot surgery on Thursday due to an injury, and the recovery is expected to take several months.

The 25-year-old defender recently made an appearance during the decisive European playoff match against SK Brann from Norway. Last season, De Wit played in 35 official matches.
